Daily Schedule
9:15-9:30 Arrival and Greetings
9:30-10:00 Table Work
- Fine motor skills
- Writing, drawing, coloring, cutting, or pasting
- ‘Table toys’ while the other kids finish
- Puzzles, stringing beads, stencils, lacing, etc.
10:00-10:30 Circle Time
- Work on the calendar, assign class jobs, make the daily weather report
- Storytelling, group discussion, and/or demonstration
10:30-11:30 Projects/ Library/ Free Play/ Small Group
Instruction/Chapel/Music
- Projects
- Ongoing project, art activities, theme work
- Library
- Time is scheduled and kids are taken in small groups
- Kids have the opportunity to check out books from the library
- Free play
- All kids are given the opportunity to have their choice of activity
- Small group instruction
- Any curriculum content/ project that requires more individualized instruction
11:30-12:00 Lunch
- Kids bring their lunch from home.
- Teacher’s eat with the kids
- Kids work on socialization
12:00-12:30 Outdoor Play or Gross Motor Skills
- Free or organized playtime
- During inclement weather, activities in Skelton Hall
12:30-12:45 Closing Time
- Wrap up the day with daily review, story, show and tell, etc.
- Prepare to go home
Each class will adjust the
schedule to fit the Lesson Plan.
